The third IB meeting picked up where it left off last time. The group was broken up into two teams to work on refining IB profile assessment descriptors which six different teams had previously drafted. The two teams held simultaneous activities in a bid to try out the assessment descriptors by inviting over some students from National Taiwan Normal University who were, then, also grouped into three. The first team had the students plan out a lesson for which they collaborated. Another team, on the other hand, had the students describe themselves by drawing. In the process, the second team felt the need to develop questions that could look into the attributes they were in charge of more comprehensively. The last team was devoted to a discussion on a given topic. As the first activity concluded, everyone gleefully participated in a musical intermission. What followed after was a presentation by Ms. Sibyl and Ms. Carine on the Extended Essay. Sibyl first discussed what EE was all about, its nature, and the role of an EE Supervisor. Ms. Carine took on expounding the responsibilities of students, rubrics for marking, and the importance of keeping some forms to serve as a guide and, at the same time, a proof for authenticity. Guest-teachers from National Taiwan Normal University grabbed the chance to raise queries and gain more understanding of the matter.
